I am looking for a series, preferably finished, that will make me feel something. I am not super picky on genres but I want something exciting with a great cast of characters and found family. Love SJM and Red Rising and the Windy City series. Please help me get out of this slump!

Anne Bishop Black Jewels trilogy (trigger warning)
If you’re interested in fantasy at all check out the Riyria Revelations series by Michael J Sullivan, starting with Theft of Swords (The Crown Conspiracy/Avempartha). It follows a ‘rogues-for-hire’ duo in a familiar-feeling fantasy world, who take on a job and are pulled into an adventure bigger than they were expecting. A great cast of characters as the series progresses, rich world building, adventure, and plenty of twists and ‘revelations’ along the way. It starts off fairly light/low stakes, but eventually turns into something decently epic. It’s a lot of fun.
