Looking for journals, autobiographies, or biographies of life in the 1800’s. Westward expansion, Manifest Destiny, day to day life of the average person trying to build a life during the 19th century.
Taking any and all recommendations, but I’d just love to read about average folks trying to make a living. I can easily read about important people & politicians during that time, but bonus point if you can recommend stuff that isn’t about anyone important. Just the average man making a living.
