So I have a niche that I absolutely love, It’s female narrators who are mothers and their kids are either killers or they feel a sense of resentment towards their kids. I discovered my love for this niche when I read The Push by Ashley Audrain. I also read her second book The Whispers and loved it. Another book I read which was similar is The First Day of Spring by Nancy Tucker and I really liked how it switched back and forth from the narrator as a young girl to her as young adult mother. Please don’t recommend Baby Teeth by Zoje Stage, I tried to start it but it just didn’t pull me in. Also please don’t recommend We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver, It’s already on my to read list I just need it to become available at my library.
