Hello! I’m hoping for some deep cut suggestions for books I could get my mom that she hopefully doesn’t already have.
Her favorite sci-fi book is Earth Abides, she’s really into 1960s and the pioneers of sci-fi, but I think would like modern stuff as well.
She also teaches history if that gives you a better idea, and has this mindset that here on Earth we’re just a marble on the top of a giant’s foot. Insignificant and whatnot.

Always Coming Home by Ursula K Leguin, if she hasn’t read it
Stephen King’s ***11/22/63*** although it’s not a deep cut. A man goes back in time in an effort to prevent the assassination of JFK.
King was on a real nostalgia kick when he wrote it, drawing an accurate picture of what life was like back then
