Hey all, after finishing Wizard of the Crow by Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o, I can't really find anything quite on par with it, especially the insanely hilarious humor on almost every page.
I've read lots of books that have made me laugh out loud like JR by William Gadis, but The Wizard of the Crow is probably the funniest book I've ever read, notwithstanding the masterful storytelling of life under the Ruler and his ruling body, haki ya mungu.
I'm open to virtually any genre of fiction (or even non fiction as long as the author has a similar sense of humor and method of delivery) as long as it's got a similarly earthy, raucous, and absurd sense of humor throughout the story.
Satire would be the icing on the cake.
