I have a flight to Italy soon, 9 hours. Which book should I read? I know there is nothing similiar between the 2, but I wanna read both and wanna know, what would you choose?
Edit: project Hail Mary it is! The flight is exactly a week from now and honestly im more excited for the book now than the actual trip

Ahh this is hard because I love both so much. I’m going to have to go with Project Hail Mary though!
PHM is much much better in my opinion.
I was not a fan of The Nightingale, which bummed me out because it seemed very much in my wheelhouse.

I listened to the audiobook of PHM and loved it! Fantastic story that doesn’t treat you like an idiot. The science is accurate (well, as accurate as you can get in sci-fi). This was written by the same author as The Martian so he tries to get it right and the problem solving is good. I couldn’t recommend this enough! Seeing the movie Friday in IMAX and can’t wait.
I’ve read and loved both. Gave both 5 stars. You should read PHM. It’s also got a movie coming out soon, so it’s in the mainstream even more than usual at the moment
Project Hail Mary is brilliant and I don’t normally like this genre
As someone who’s read both I’m SHOCKED to see phm winning! I think nightingale is the way to go, I’m dying to visit Europe after reading the novel. Such a beautiful and tragic book, you won’t want to put it down. And will make you appreciate the continent for its strength even more I think.
