This is kind of a post to share my excitement about getting back into reading, but also to ask for series suggestions that I might be able to sink my teeth into after finishing the one I'm currently on with.

As a kid, I used to love reading the Enid Blyton "Mystery of…" books. I read the whole series, multiple times, and loved it. I soon got onto the Famous Five series and also loved this, but didn't read them all as I could never find every book!

These were the last books I really read; until recently. I've always wanted to get back into reading as it really satisfied me when I was younger and helped my imagination and my vocabulary too. So I was disappointed each time over the years when I picked up a book and just couldn't take anything in. Blame technology for my distractions and inability to process words as well without really concentrating haha.

So now I've just started the Washington Poe series by M.W Craven. I live near the lakes in England so really enjoy the books and can relate to the areas mentioned. I am currently on the third book of the series and finished the other two in a month, and retained pretty much everything about each book, which I'm super pleased about.

So I have a question, relating to the books I read as a child, and this series that I'm enjoying, are there any series that I can pick up next? I love mystery, I spend a lot of my free time outside of work and exercise watching detective/mystery/crime TV shows. Nothing gets me more excited than a whodunnit, or a mystery with huge twists that literally give me chills! Any suggestions would be so welcome, and I'm super excited to check some of them out. Any that remind me of the Enid Blyton series would be welcoming too!
