I recently read John Green's incredible book Everything Is Tuberculosis and just now finished The River of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt's Darkest Journey by Candice Millard. So now I'm wondering if there is a book like Green's that covers the science and social impact of malaria?
I thought Millard's account of Roosevelt and Rondon's trek was absolutely astonishing and I'd like to know more about the impact of malaria and how it is treated today versus historically.
