Hi all! A few years back I started writing reviews for every book I read, and lately I took a look back on the past few months of reviews, and….. bupkis. Nothing memorable, nothing gripping, nothing above a 5/10. I haven’t been able to find a book that hasn’t bored me lately. Some books I read in the past few years that I LOVED were Gideon the Ninth and The House in the Cerulean Sea. I love fantasy and sci-fi, and I also love romance. I tend to gravitate towards sillier books, but lately that’s been leading me askew. I’m currently reading Dungeon Crawler Carl, and while I won’t speak badly of it, I have to admit that it’s really not my thing.
Since my usual alleys have been doing me wrong lately, I’d love to hear any and all suggestions of books that you thought were easy to get into and carried your interest through till the end. Very willing to get out of my comfort zone with this. What books do you find beautiful? What books do you wish you could read again for the first time? What books, above all, kept you coming back for more?
