I've seen previous posts for recs similar to DCC, but a lot of the recs were specifically for litRPG or sci-fi/adventure or other elements whereas what I'm looking for is something that's got a sense of humor on par with these books.
a friend of mine really enjoyed them and whipped through the entire series and is now looking for books that are just as entertaining and easy to read, light and ridiculous kinda books, nothing too serious or angsty. can be fantasy or sci-fi or horror, appreciate any recs!
PS. I tried Vainqueur the Dragon from one of the DCC rec posts, but it wasn't very well-written imo and a bit too on-the-nose. also started the first Expeditionary Force book and it's not hitting the spot (bit too serious), although it's promising so I'm persevering with it

You should check the discworld series or the hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy series. Both are light, witty and humorous.
