I’ve gotten into writing which has in turn made me want to start reading more. I need recommendations because i cannot find anything i like for the life of me

I am open to any genre but fantasy and NSFW. I like some urban fantasy but that's really specific. I like sci-fi (Not like star wars, more like time travel, aliens, apocalypses etc.) I tried reading Mistborn, and despite being fantasy I did quite like it, but the chapters are just really long. I mean Brandon does BIG books, which i thought would be fine but i learned that is a KILLER for me. So short chapters are a must (Not like 2 page or anything, just like average). Not much else i could say. Recommend me whatever!
