Hello everyone! You see I'm someone who reads a lot, however, there is a small problem; The books that I read are not traditional novels. While I can attest to the quality of the narrarive of these novels, I cant do as much for there prose.
I read alot of Webnovels, and a vast majority of these webnovels are translated from chinese/Korean/Japanese and are done so without localization. Meaning the prose is just plain awful.
And if my sentence structure and possibly incorrect punctuation use didnt give it away, Im not that well read when it comes to traditional proseful literature. My primary inspirations for this post are the following two: I want to be more well-read so that I can eventually write my own novel, and reading an excerpt from a Cormac McCarthy book with its prose was strangely very fun.
My point is, please recommend me a book that has good prose and approachable prose for someone who is decent at English(my grammar might suck but I can understand perfectly fine) but hasnt read much(genre doesnt really matter).
Thank you very much.
Ps: if anyone wants a reference to what webnovel prose looks like, check out Lord of Mysteries(my favourite). First chapter should be free
