I'm looking for books that take an introspective look at the pretentiousness of academia and the world of the fine arts, but with a satirical flare, The Secret History has always struck me as this in shades
Basically written as a look inside the ivory tower institutions, and how ridiculous the ivory tower-ness is with the self-seriousness
How deep and obvious the humor and satire is can vary, and I guess I'm partial to the literary world, but just something that is a bit tounge-in-cheek if not self aware
