Looking for a fiction and a non-fiction book

For the fiction book:
– must contain romance
– must be somewhat chill (there can be high stakes, but no 100 page long fight scene)
– fantasy is a bonus
– willing to try Sci-fi, though I've never read any
– a romance book I've enjoyed recently is The Crucible Series (also known as The Games Gods Play)
– must NOT contain explicit rape or abuse of that kind

For the non-fiction book:
– something to teach me about history or mythology, or how the Earth as a planet has evolved (from one continent to what we have now)
– can also be something to teach me about computer architecture (computer chips, memory hierarchies, …)
I've never read a non-fiction book so any help is welcome xx
