I recently found myself enjoy books told by characters that suffer mentally and go crazy, I just like to see how the author describes the someone losing their sanity.
Some books that i enjoyed:
-
Come closer
-
A short stay in hell
-
The yellow wallpaper
-
A gamer's guide to the tutorial
I plan to read The Divine Farce next and i would appreciate any other suggestions.

The shadow over innsmouth by Lovecraft
The secret life of Laszlo, Count Dracula was an interesting read.
She’s a Lamb by Meredith Hambrock, and absolutely The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. The Bell Jar is the ultimate female hysteria novel imo, if you enjoyed The Yellow Wallpaper you must read The Bell Jar.
I’ve also heard good things about The Mad Women’s Ball by Victoria Mas, might align with what you’re looking for!
My two most recent reads – ***Crime and Punishment*** – Dostoevsky (although, of course part of the fun is speculating whether the protagonist’s insanity is entirely a ploy).
also ***Hunger*** by Knut Hamsun, which bears some similarities to C& P although the protagonist’s nature is quite different.
And one more – ***Chess Story***, a novella by Stefan Zwe,ig which explores what might happen to someone left with only their own mind for company and stimulation.
Chlorine by Jade Song…. It was a wild ride. Really raw. The writing is really engaging
A book about trump should do the trick..🙈
