Hello lovely readers! I have the opportunity to read for a few people with low-vision in my community. Does anyone have recommendations for short stories that are good to read aloud? I asked the listeners, and they said they would be happy with anything. I anticipate that after a while, I will recognize which stories are well-received. Thank you for sharing your ideas!

I’d suggest looking at the collection Stories of Your Life and Others by Ted Chiang. It has some of my favorite short stories, including the title story, Understand, and the lifecycle of software objects.
I recommend just reading the short stories on Story Sanctum (www(dot)storysanctum(dot)org). They’re written by a number of different authors and there’s a good selection to choose from. “Liturgy of Light” is a good one on Story Sanctum, for example.
