Read and watched the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Chestnut Man books, series, and movies, and loved all of them. Fell in love with the dark, broody, frigid atmospheres, complex but tight plots, and gloomy-yet-beautiful landscapes. The Nordic Noir subgenre seems to be scratching the itches I've had in my noir hunger, and looking for more suggestions.
Preferably looking for novels that have female protagonists, and if they're queer, it's a bonus (but not at all necessary!)
Thanks!

The Irene Huss series by Helene Tursten could what you’re looking for. Swedish mystery police procedural novels with a strong female protagonist.
Camilla Lackberg’s Fjallbacka series is one you might like, though the protag isn’t queer. First book is Ice Princess.
