I finished reading The Magic Of Ordinary Days and I liked it but I want more of the romance Livvy and Ray had. I already picked up The Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society because it covers some of what i'm looking for. I have looked up a few western books that I thought might have a similar feel to them but nothing really jumped out at me.
Here are some elements I want
- arranged marriage / marriage of protection / marriage of convenience
- quiet, gentle, loving MMC who is a farmer/rancher- he falls in love with FMC first
- FMC is a city girl that needs to marry. kind of indifferent towards MMC but grows to love him and struggles with lifestyle change
- FMC goes from city life to rural country life
- Yearning slow burn but has plenty of small intimate moments before they confess they love each other
- doesn't need to be a western
- pre 1950s time period – so not modern
I think that covers it. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for me.

Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese. It ticks a lot of your boxes but I will warn it is heartbreaking but absolutely beautiful.
