My dad retired last year and has really gotten into reading more so than previous, so I want to get him some books for his birthday this month.
I’m not sure exactly what to get him, as he always gives his books to charity shops once he reads them, so I can’t really dig through to see what he’s into.
I know for a fact he likes Thursday Murder Club series, and he really liked Shantaram. In general, he’s a big crime and thriller fan. TV show wise, he loves Line of Duty, Silent Witness etc (british crime dramas if you don’t know the shows).
Any help you could give would be really appreciated!

The Marlow Murder Club, by Robert Thorogood
Pretty much anything by SA Cosby is great for crime thrillers. It’s very… southern noir, I guess. I think Razorblade Tears may be his best, but I haven’t gotten to his newest book yet.
