Reading The Gone World by Tom Sweterlitsch currently, and part of the narrative is the FBI trying to wrench information about the top secret sci-fi shenanigans conducted by the Navy.
I just think thats a fun concept. Two organizations that are, ostensibly, on the same team with their own virtuous goals are withholding information from one another. It's cool war-game-type dynamic and im wondering what else is out there!
(bonus points if at the end, there's a twist and ones evil. Double bonus points if they're both evil and the protagonist is fighting multiple powers that be)
