Haven't read anything new in ages. Looking to get back into reading again. Most interested in: Mystery, Thriller, Suspense, Fantasy. But I'm open to other genres.

As a woman, I enjoy when there's a female main character, or co-main character, but absolutely not necessary!

Favorite authors: James Patterson, Mary Higgins Clark, Lisa Gardner.

Favorite Childhood books: Harry Potter, Goosebumps, Artemis Fowl, The Animorphs, etc.

As an adult I enjoy adult main characters, although children or teenage main characters are fine. Can be a series or a one-off.

More of a fan of fiction stories than real.

I like strong female characters, but not female characters who are overpowered, Think Ripley from the Alien movies, Clarice from The Silence of the Lambs, or even the [Gone Girl] Manipulative behavior from Amy, even if she wasn't a good person

I recommend this book every chance I get. Even though it isn’t woman centered, it may be the best book you ever read. I have yet to find one that even comes close to how good this book really is. It has a little of most of what you described.

Frieda McFadden is really popular in mystery/thriller rn (i havent read anything by her yet but i know a lot of people who love her books). I liked Ashley Flowers mystery books, she has a true crime podcast and came out with two books. For fantasy i really like the author T. Kingfisher
