Tired of the dystopian, cynical future worlds where the world is in ruins and life is scary and bad. It's incredibly overdone and frankly it's not great for my mental health.
While many in that genre do an amazing job of painting a believable future of dystopia, I'd like to see that same level of creativity and vision crafting a world that is healing or gets healed while also telling a compelling story.
NOT looking for a fantasy world like Narnia or some distant fictional planet. It should be Earth, and the future world should have a believable backstory on how things got that way.
I admit, this is a tall order.
