Looking for books where the heroine is fighting against a villain, but the villain, to the reader's surprise, starts falling in love with the MC.
To try and be perfectly clear: I'm not looking for this plot as part of the premise where you read the back cover of the book and you immediately know who is getting together in this story (for example: once upon a broken heart) . it's a thing that's unexpected.
I tagged it as sci-fi/fantasy because i imagine this premise will be easier to find in this realm, but im open to all genres!
