A great, twisty, fast-paced, revenge story classic you’d probably enjoy, is **The Count of Monte Cristo** by Alexandre Dumas.
**1984** by George Orwell is a dark, compelling, dystopian classic that’ll keep you engaged from start to finish.
**The Hobbit** by JRR Tolkien is a highly entertaining fantasy adventure classic, with lots of action, humor, great characters, and creative, rich world building. Then, after that, you should read **The Lord of the Rings** starting with The Fellowship of the Ring. Even if you’ve seen the (excellent) movies, the books are worth reading and have a lot in them that the movies just couldn’t get to. A beautifully written, emotional, epic, high fantasy classic.
**Dune** by Frank Herbert, is an awesome sci-fi classic, with rich world building, interesting themes, and an epic story. Personally, I enjoyed all six books by Frank Herbert, so I’d recommend the whole series, but it *does* definitely get way weirder and crazier as it goes (a positive, in my opinion!). Definitely read up to the end of book 4, God Emperor, though, if you want to get a sense of the larger, overarching, scope.
