Hi! I've recently been seeing people talk about the book Carrie by Stephen King. A lot about it attracts me to this book, but its so short so im hesitant to put money into buying it. I have a lot of personal experience with bullying (esp based on weight), social isolation, etc. id love a good gut punch, taking-me-right-back-to-my-trauma book. Relatable maybe? Im looking for a decent, if not long read. The theme of revenge and being harassed into bloodshed is a cool concept, and ive enjoyed some other stephen king books ive read, but im open to any genre really. (Including romance. Love a good romance). I guess my main point is wanting to either read something about social isolation/bullying/lonliness/being a "bad" kind of different/seen as irredeemable, or a book centred around a plus size protag. Or both. Both would be beautiful haha. Sorry if this is vague! Any recs would be appreciated 🙂
