I do adore Dark Romances for a last year and they are popular for a reason trust me, but not for everyone. When anyone asks for a starting point or a mustread list these are the ones I always screaming about:
Hunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton. For when you want that cat and mouse energy and a stalker trope that actually feels dark (like really dark). It was on the edge of being too much for me, it’s so hard to read some chapters.
The Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles by Cora Reilly. Classic mafia romance. The tradition, the loyalty and the grit are unmatched. But all men there are just perfect!
Anything by Rina Kent. If you want interconnected worlds, obsession and top tier touch her and you die vibes, she is the queen of dark romance i could tell.
I Married The Wrong Mafia Prince on My Passion. A high-stakes Mafia setting with a brutal enemies to lovers, it’s a sins of the father situation where their parents were bitter enemies and the leads start off driven by a pure desire for revenge.
