Suggest me a book for research!

Hi! I’m currently a college student, and doing a research paper on American literature in the 1950s.

More particularly I’m looking for books: either published in the US, or American writer in the 1950s that pertain to the topics of nuclear holocaust of anxiety. Short stories are also welcome.

I currently have Alas, Babylon and Shadows on the Hearth.
