Frankly, I'm tired of looking for books without romance (I'm aroace and just don't like reading about it) and only finding dark/scary/violent/sad stories in the search results. Does anyone know of some easy reads (preferably for adults but I'll take YA suggestions too) with little to no romance? Thanks in advance!

The Kopp Sisters books by Amy Stewart. There is some crime involved, but they’re not really mysteries nor are they super dark or violent. The first one is called Girl Waits With Gun and it’s about Constance Kopp, the first female sheriff’s deputy of Bergen County New Jersey. Historical fiction inspired by a real life person.
Diary of a Provincial Lady (she’s married, but I don’t think there’s any romance, really!)
