I decided to try the 52 Book Club challenge this year, and one of the prompts is to read a book containing the “grumpy/sunshine” trope. Problem is, this is apparently a romance novel trope and I *really* loathe romance novels. I chose one that seemed the least offensive and I just can’t stand it!
Do any of you know of a book that could meet this trope without the romance? Basically it just needs to have two characters that have teamed up in some way (siblings, work partners, neighbors, strangers caught up in the same adventure somehow) and one is grouchy and the other is cheerful.
