I’m looking for very specific vibes and struggling to find the right books. In a reading slump!
I want:
– castle setting that feels immersive
– princess or royal/feminine main character
– eerie but also slightly whimsical atmosphere
– introspective, messy, lost in her head energy
– themes of time passing / “how did life get here”
– wandering, observing, connecting with the place or nature
– dark academia vibe but not dense writing
– easy to read but still deep
I don’t want:
– heavy action or fight scenes
– “female rage” or overly strong/aggressive protagonists
– romance-heavy plots
– overly magical/witchy systems
Basically something that feels like wandering through a castle at night, slightly detached, thinking about life and existence. Being in the present.
