I'm looking for books to read during my rest at the gym. Typically this is 1-2 minute stretches. I don't really care if it's fiction or non-fiction, though I would prefer a "vegetable" book if that makes sense. This is opposed to dessert books "dungeon crawler carl, project hail Mary, etc"

This Is How You Lose the Time War, by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone. It’s structured as a series of letters between two opponents, so each section is relatively brief. Loved this novelette, highly recommended!
What about Chuck Klosterman “Raised in captivity”? Its short stories, each under 1000 words. Not sure if thats too long.
