I just watch a video essay on YouTube that examined nostalgia and pointed out that people have been complaining about the current generation for literally thousands of years. Hesiod, for example, complained about the current generation.
I would like a book that looks more deeply at the idea that everyone looks back with fondness on the time when they were young and mistakenly thinks it was a golden age and further believes the current generation is terrible and the world is going down the drain.
