I love Splendid Speckled Mosscap, from A Psalm For The Wild Build by Becky Chambers.
I am entirely eager for more characters like this:
Intensely curious, often delighted, friendly, kind, very polite and slightly formal, and specifically: with strong boundaries—not a pushover. Perhaps with tension in regards to social cues or reading a room, too.
A character who delights and marvels, who gets lost in their own curiosities and trains of thought, extremely earnest.
I have already read all of Becky Chambers' other books, The Gobin Emperor by Katherine Addison (and Martha Wells Murderbot series)
