Like the title says, I'm looking for books on the topics below. They should be for adult readers, in a narrative style, nonfiction. English is my native language so I prefer books written in English. I'm not looking for textbooks, but it IS okay if they're highly complex/scientific. I'm looking for deep dives into these subjects broadly, and bonus points if they're controversial or deal with scientifically/morally/socially/mythologically gray areas. Extra bonus points if you can tell me why you're recommending them. Super extra bonus points if they're a little obscure or lesser known.
