Just read "they both die at the end" and I'm looking something that feels like the later half of the book with all the "living" taking place.
Something about people chasing their dreams with drama, but a somewhat wholesome resolution.
Examples Ι can think of right now are:
A little life (but more wholesome)
Beat and Motion (manga)
The outsiders (it had less dream chaisng, more life living, but I still greatly enjoyed it)
Romance is a bonus but optional.
