My 11-year-old has just discovered his love of reading after I challenged him to read "Project Hail Mary" before the movie came out. He read it in just under 4 days, LOVED IT, and he's just finished "The Martian." He's itching to start a new book, and I don't want to lose the momentum. I think "Artemis" is a little too adult for him, so I think we'll hold off on that one. I love sci-fi, but I'm struggling to recommend books that I think he'll find fantastic that are still age-appropriate. Prior to these books, he mostly read "Wings of Fire" novels and graphic novels and Minecraft-related books. He most decidedly does NOT like Harry Potter. Does anyone have any suggestions?
