After a long hiatus I am trying to start making reading a habit again. I just finished Fleishman is In Trouble and I really liked it. Other authors I have really enjoyed are Wally Lamb, Lisa Jewell, Stephen King, Jodi Picoult, Dean Koontz. I liked books like Little Fires Everywhere, The Expatriates, Shes Come Undone, And The Trees Crept In etc. So I suppose I like deep, emotional stuff as well as suspense/crime/thriller/horror

Im also open to books that are a good intro to another genre like fantasy. However, id like to avoid the current modern erotic literature that is out as thats not so much my style (no shade the fans).

Thriller wise, recently read Huge by Brent Butt and it was really great!

Rebecca by Daphne duMaurier is a classic and a suspenseful Gothic thriller type book, I had a hard time putting it down

    2. i just got back into reading too and lisa jewell is my go-to! have you read “the family upstairs” yet? total page-turner with all the suspense vibes you’re looking for.
