I’m looking for a book about paranormal phenomena that actually feels real and unsettling, not just jump-scare horror or over-the-top demons.
I’m more interested in things like unexplained events, eerie encounters, psychological tension, or stories that blur the line between reality and the unknown. Something that makes you question things after reading it.
Bonus points if it’s based on “real” cases or has that documentary-like feel.
I don’t mind fiction or non-fiction, as long as it leaves that lingering, creepy feeling.
Any recommendations? 👁️

“House of Leaves” is challenging, but utterly unsettling and creepy.
Hostage to the Devil by Father Malachi Martin. It’s his accounts of working as an exorcist for years. It honestly creeped me out deeply, and it’s very readable.
