Hey,
I (23F) need a book recommendation to my girlfriend (22F) of 4 years, who is the reader in this relationship.
Cutting it short, next semester I’m moving abroad to attend a 100% funded masters program followed by a phD in Germany (couldn’t refuse this opportunity). As I expected, she doesn’t want to come with me and stated that she is not willing to do long distance. Although she sounded heartbroken, she still tried to be happy because of my achievements.
As a last gift, I wanted to buy her a book that has a similar story of distancing to ours (relationship ended because one had to go away, not died).
I already have a small text to write inside it. As I said earlier, she is the reader in the relationship, so I struggle to write something worth of her.
I was thinking of something along the lines of
“ I still want to travel and sail around the world with you, but I know I can’t make promises anymore
Meeting you is irreversible and I am glad
With love and lots of anguish,
Me”
So… Do you guys know any book that would make sense with those verses? I know that in English it sounds bad, but I guarantee that in Portuguese it is better!!
