Full Metal Daemon Muramasa was such a good visual novel that I've been searching for other VNs with great prose, but I couldn't find anything. Somebody finally knocked some sense into me by telling me that what I was looking for was books, and I feel that it makes sense as a next step. Please help me, what do you recommend for someone that has an inclination for cheap anime tropes, but also loves prose and musings on philosophy?
