I’m in a book club where everyone gets a turn to pick a book. It seems like the books that get the most turnout/discussion engagement are what I understand are “booktok” books – Dungeon Crawler Carl, Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Happy Place, This Princess Kills Monsters, and anything by Brandon Sanderson.
As someone who doesn’t have TikTok myself, I’m not exactly plugged in to what’s popular at the moment. Help me pick a book that this group will be interested in reading, they dont necessarily have to like it, I just want good engagement and turnout for the discussion.
My initial research led me to “Blood Over Bright Haven” which sounds interesting to me and seems like the kind of fantasy that would be popular in this group, but im worried that it’s a bit long and also that it may be too much of a horror book? Our group has a “no horror“ rule though some exceptions have been made in the past.
