The Bean Trees

I just finished reading the Bean Trees by Barbara kingsolver. It's the third book of hers that I've read and I would place it third in that list behind poison wood Bible and demon Copperhead.

With all her characters you feel like you are on the journey with them. It is definitely the case in this book. The book, her first, was written in 1988. However, it feels as though it could be have written today. The issues and situations she describes I believe are very current.

It's a lovely story, glad I read it. I don't think you can go wrong with any of her books. I am going to find out if that is true as I have more and more of her books on TBR.
