My favorite books are LIGHT CR, but I love a specific kind of hurt/comfort and these books have the tiniest bit. I'm wondering if there are more out there!
Specifically, I want it to be the vibes of the books/authors below, but have at least one slightly more intense/longer hurt/comfort scene or sort of MC being saved/cared for by LI. Think that one scene in Twilight where the creepy guys almost get Bella and Edward gets there just in time, The Love Hypothesis (or it might be one of the other Ali Hazelwood books) where the guy almost attacks her and MMC stops him, The Kiss Quotient where he realizes people have been having sex with her when she was so tense, Some information about her gets outed and he takes care of her, etc.
I would love any recs that fit this description, and would especially love any books of this vibe that have maybe just a slightly more intense version of these scenes.
I wrote all this with FM, but I also love MM and FF.
My BESTIES: Ali Hazelwood, Alexis Hall
Others I always love: Laura Wood, Ellie K Wilde, Sarah Adams, Christina Lauren, Hannah Grace, Alexandra Vasti, Hannah Bonam-Young, Lana Ferguson, etc.
Titles I love that I'm not sure I captured the author: The Kiss Quotient, The Hating Game, Swept Away.
I am NOT looking for anything dark or romantasy (a little light fantasy/werewolfy/vampirey-ness is okay- just no super serious world building), and I'm not looking for anything crazy intense. For example, I HATED Priest by Sierra Simone and I DNFed One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig. Maximum darkness would be Alexis Hall's Spires series.
I find when I search for what I'm looking for I often get the darker or very intense vibes (like Priest), so I'm hoping for some helping finding some lighter fare!
Bonus request: I also love a little Ds action in these lighter books and would take recs for those too (again, the Ds titles tend to get very dark or intense)
I literally learned how to use Reddit just to make this request because I have never successfully found recs for this specific type of book (even in my hours of reddit searching!).
Help a girl out! THANK YOU!
