So I’ve just started reading the article—thanks for sharing!—but want to say that this is really encouraging as an autistic author. I suppose I, too, was (a little) underestimated and treated childishly in secondary school, so that part hit. I’m able to speak fully, though I do have bouts of (often frustration-induced) silence, but I’m inspired by him.
