Please recommend me some fiction books / series based on what I’ve read so far. I am unfortunately QUICK to DNF, but I have deep desire to get full-swing back into reading.
Books I’ve liked so far: The Housemaid (loved the fast pace, short chapters, and mystery/thriller genre), The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (LOVED the sapphic and slow burn relationship, stardom, hidden secrets, loss), The Silent Patient (enjoyed the writing style, fast pace, and plot).
Books I’ve DNFed: Verity (did not like Hoover’s writing style), The Housemaid’s Secret (McFadden might’ve been a one and done for me), Maybe in Another Life (I had high hopes for Jenkins Reid but this one was kind of corny imo), The Song of Achilles (okay this one I would have finished bc I heard it was heart-wrenching and I loved the LGBTQ relationship but I felt weird about how young the characters were), ACOTAR (don’t think I’m a big fantasy world person when it comes to reading), Persuasion (I wanted to love a classic Jane Austen but I found it difficult to read), plus plenty of others.
Also open to any advice on not being so quick to DNF lol
