Best entry level books on mythology, history and literature.
Hi everyone,
My wife and I really want to develop our knowledge in all those areas, but need book recommendations that aren't too intimidating for complete novices.

For Greek mythology – *Mythos* by Stephen Fry. Absolutely the gateway to the rest of it! The audiobook was great. I was annoyed with his voice and storytelling for the first 20-30 minutes but I am so, SO glad I stuck with it. I will recommend it to anyone asking for mythology books.
Neil Gaiman wrote a book called *Norse Mythology* that is a good beginner level for that universe if you are interested.
