Suggest me a memoir that you couldn’t put down while reading.
Not all fit the criteria I just listed but here are some memoirs I’ve read and enjoyed:
– I’m glad my mom died
– crying in h mart
– sociopath
– maybe you should talk to someone
– Nothing to Envy
– The Girl with Seven Names (probably my favorite on this list)
When you suggest a book, can you explain a little about them?
Thanks! Can’t wait to hear the suggestions

“Full Body Burden” by Kristen Iversen. It’s a memoir in the sense that it’s entirely about her life, but it’s also very fact-heavy and I learned a lot about nuclear energy because it was an inescapable part of her childhood. It was a fascinating read. Sad but fascinating.
If you just want straight emotions, David Sedaris’ “Calypso” would be a good choice. He wrote it about the death of his sibling, published the same year I lost my own sibling, and for this reason it remains the only essay collection of his I’ve never finished and likely never will, but the rest of his stuff is enthralling enough to keep you reading. I think it’d be a good fit based on your preferences.

Cher: The memoir was good. She’s an excellent storyteller . In another genre, Careless People by Sarah Wynn Williams about the beginnings of Facebook
I’m currently in the middle of Rebel Girl by Kathleen Hanna and it’s fantastic. If you have any interest in 3rd wave feminism and/or the beginnings of Riot Grrrl and the grunge/punk scene in Olympia, you’ll love it.
