I'm trying to get back into reading after not doing it for a while. I noticed the books I really liked tended to focus on societal dilemmas. One of my favorite books was maze runners, and I especially loved thinking about the question of whether wicked was good. That sort of thing. I have since grown up a fair bit and am not really looking for teen dystopia books, but just books with that type of thinking – whether they be fiction or nonfiction. I would appreciate any help.

Just Mercy was an appalling read in terms of how the justice system runs in Alabama / southern US but also excellent and I love Bryan Stevenson – it was also made into a movie.
CRIME AND PUNISHMENT!!!! I’ve been waiting for someone to ask this
