I've just finished the Oryx and Crake trilogy and I enjoyed it but the dystopian aspect put me in the mood for some zombie carnage stories. There's so many out there but finding the good ones is hard so any suggestions would be helpful 🙂

*The Book of M* by Peng Shepherd is a romance driven dystopian book. Part “road journey” part “battle for humanity” it’s got some interesting and weird moments while being rooted in a realistic North American landscape.
*The Passage* is an excellent horror series that deals with life before and after a world altering cataclysm. Has some grounded characters and some interesting relationships. Jumps from pre-event to post-event and connects some cool dots by doing this.
*Manhunt* is a highly controversial “gender-pocolypse” book that is very graphic in terms of gore and sex. Men have been affected by a virus that turns them into blood thirsty feral creatures, what happens when you and your survivor camp are trans?
*World War Z* is extremely well done, and has little to do with the movie. It’s presented in a series of “real life accounts” from people who experience a zombie apocalypse. It’s a cool range of stories and really makes you see an outbreak from many unique perspectives.
*Zone One* is a classic of the genre, and is from the vantage point of a Sweeper whose job is to clear zombies from an area.
Fever House by Keith Rosson.
And I’ll second World War Z.
