Hello. I saw a Worm minific named Refusing the Call on Spacebattles, and it has awakened a craving in me for a specific trope being subverted; the Refusal of the Call to the Hero's Journey… except it actually works! The MC does not, in fact, go on the journey.
I just want any book or novel or tiny itty bitty fanfiction that undergoes this arc. Be it one time or repeatedly in the case of the fanfic that awakened this hunger for more in me.
